Art Gallery 2

  1. We studied Renaissance Art, then looked at Guiseppe Arcimboldo’s unusual (and creepy) art to inspire our self-portraits.
  2. Students painted original compositions using watercolor techniques.
  3. One of our portfolio students, Ashley, presented a “Psychedelic Art” lesson showing students how to use different patterns to create an ink drawing.
  4. After studying one-point perspective and the Surrealism movement, students created “rooms” with both these features and shading to create depth.
  5. We studied the life and work of Vincent van Gogh, then replicated his painting techniques in an original composition.
  6. Micrography – Students used text to create value in ink drawings giving them a unique quality.
  7. Students created monochromatic acrylic celebrity paintings after studying the Pop Art movement, using gridded drawings for enlargement.

This is my fave gallery!! Your students are so talented! And they are so lucky to have such a talented, beautiful and really awesome teacher as yourself……..of course they take it for granted though. lol Years later they will realize it though, if they don’t now.
